Top technology conferences to attend in 2025

Over the past few years, we’ve been seeing a return to in-person conferences after the long pause due to the Covid pandemic. Now that conferences have returned in full force, it’s getting difficult to keep up to date with all the exciting options available, let alone attend all those you’d like to attend.

So, in this article, we’ll break down some of the top technology conferences to keep in mind for 2025, ranging from developer-focused conferences to more business-oriented tech conferences. We’ll list them in chronological order to give you a better overview and make it easier for you to plan ahead for the ones you’re going to attend. Let’s get started!

1. DeveloperWeek

  • February 11-13, Santa Clara, California, US (in person)

  • February 18-20, online/remote (live)

With over 5000 yearly attendees, DeveloperWeek is one of the world’s biggest independent developer & engineering conferences, featuring a plethora of technical talks and workshops, as well as a hackathon and a tech hiring exposition.

The conference focuses on new breakthrough technologies such as VR and artificial intelligence development, and has included industry giants such as Google, Facebook, IBM, Optimizely, etc.

In 2025, DeveloperWeek is adding an expanded DevExec World which will feature 2 days of talks and networking events for engineering managers, tech executives, and lead developers.

This year’s selection of speakers includes CEO of Stack Overflow Prashanth Chandrasekar, Senior Director, Developer Marketing & Strategy at Red Hat Ignacio Riesgo, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Digital Ocean Bratin Saha, and many more.

While the in-person conference is taking place in less than 2 weeks, it’s also possible to attend the online version virtually a week later, February 18-20, in case you’re not able to secure tickets, flights and/or accommodations on short notice.

2. DEVWorld Conference

  • 27-28 February, Amsterdam, Netherlands, EU

Another must-see February conference tailored for developers (as well as tech and product leaders), this one taking place in Europe, is the DEVWorld conference.

DEVWorld 2025 will feature sessions from the leading tech companies such as Google, Philips, Gartner, Netflix, IBM, AWS and Microsoft, diving into pertinent topics ranging from AI to tech leadership, DevOps, product management, and more.

The speaker list features names such as Minko Gechev from Google’s Angular Core Team; Steve Sewell, co-founder and CEO of Builder.io; Rick van den Bosch, Cloud Solution Architect at Microsoft; and Julia Flament-Wallin, Engineering Manager at TomTom.

Agiledrop has been a sponsor of DEVWorld and we’re sponsoring the event again this year. If you’re attending, make sure to stop by our booth for a chat with our head of client services Aleš and our client advisor Jure. In case you haven’t got a ticket yet – you can get a 10% discount by subscribing to the DEVWorld newsletter.

3. SXSW / South by Southwest

  • March 7-15, Austin, Texas, US

While not exclusively a technology conference, SXSW is aimed at creators worldwide, offering them a week’s worth of diverse experiences across tech, music, comedy, film and culture through events such as tech competitions, awards ceremonies, professional development & networking opportunities, and more.

Some of the most relevant tracks for attendees primarily interested in the tech side include: Advertising & Brand Experience (March 7-11), Artificial Intelligence (March 9-13), Design (March 7-11), Startups (March 7-10), Tech Industry (March 7-13) and XR (March 9-11).

The SXSW conference features numerous high-level talks from top industry experts, with the 2025 lineup including Bluesky’s CEO Jay Graber, IBM’s CEO Arvind Krishna and Bumble’s CEO Lidiane Jones.

4. TECHSPO global technology expo series

  • 30 events across 12 countries, from early April to late November, worldwide

TECHSPO is the largest technology exposition series in the world, with the 2025 edition taking place in 30 cities across 12 countries. The majority of the events are taking place in the US, while the rest are interspersed throughout the world, from London, Dubai, Cape Town, New Delhi, Singapore, Tokyo, Sydney, Auckland, and more.

With so many different options, you’re sure to find one that works well for you. Just a heads-up, though: each event offers only a limited number of attendee passes, so make sure you start booking tickets sooner rather than later, especially if you plan on attending one of the earlier ones.

5. UXDX EMEA

  • 19-21 May, Berlin, Germany, EU & online

UXDX EMEA is a conference focused primarily on experience and product designers, with a mission of breaking down barriers between product, UX and development to promote more efficient & collaborative creation of better products.

Like every year, the 2025 edition features talks and case studies from world-class speakers such as Anthony Maggio, VP & Head of Product Management at Airtable; Josh Kimmel, principal designer at IBM; and Connor Joyce, senior user researcher at Microsoft.

The heavily discounted early-bird tickets are still available for over 10 days (until February 8), and you can choose from 4 different options: online talks (the most affordable option), in-person talks, in-person talks + workshops, or the full in-person package of executive + talks + workshops which includes VIP activities.
