Agile Digital Transformation featured among leading podcasts on digital transformation & AI

After nearly 4.5 years and 165 successful episodes, the time has come to discontinue the Agile Digital Transformation podcast. We’d sincerely like to thank all the amazing guests for the great conversations and invaluable insights; hopefully they’re going to resonate with listeners for years to come.

In fact, I still vividly remember recording the very first episodes back in July of 2020, right after the initial Covid craze subsided ever so briefly. As these things often go, however, the very first recording came up with an inevitable mishap – namely, I very expertly recorded only my audio, but none of the guest’s – which pretty much completely defeated the purpose of the whole recording!

Luckily, Vicki was awesome and understanding enough to agree to a do-over, ever sharing her own first-time recording experience which was for some reason extremely familiar. And for a bit of a silver lining – the new recording turned out to be even better and more engaging than the original one, which just goes to show how perceived mishaps can actually transform into much better opportunities if you just allow them to.

Anyway, in this article we’d like to go over some of the top highlights and achievements from running one of the top podcasts on tech & digital transformation – and that’s not just us bragging, as we’ve actually been featured on as many as five different lists of the leading tech podcasts:

  1. 7th place on FeedSpot’s 30 Best Digital Transformation Podcasts in 2025

  2. 15th place on Whatfix’s 23 Best Digital Transformation Podcasts in 2024

  3. 9th place on DigitalDefynd’s Top 10 Digital Transformation Podcasts [2025]

  4. Interview Valet’s list of 20 Great Podcasts For AI

  5. Player FM’s list of Best Digital Transformation Podcasts

We’ve also hosted a number of high-level guests, including several book authors, podcast hosts, machine learning experts, prominent members of the Drupal community, and leaders from renowned firms such as Deloitte, Airtable and Optimizely.

Highlights & key takeaways from four and a half years of hosting Agile Digital Transformation

Out of the topics which we covered over the course of 165 episodes, there were several noteworthy areas where the conversations were particularly interesting and relevant for digital businesses.

Artificial intelligence

AI has been the hottest topic for the past few years, becoming a key component of digital transformation and thus quickly a mainstay of most discussions about digital strategy. Here are some of the highlights from our podcast discussions:

Agile

Since “Agile” is literally in the name of our podcast, it made perfect sense that a lot of conversations either focused on agile & agility, or just naturally included them in the discussion.

Much like AI has become a mainstay in tech, agile practices have been more and more prominent during recent years, especially with the advent of remote/hybrid work, and the increased market volatility.

Something that used to be a tactic intended pretty much exclusively for development and engineering has now turned into a best practice for businesses at large, used effectively from marketing to other business critical areas.

However, it is important to implement agile practices properly, in a way that actually benefits your business without introducing unnecessary hurdles, silos and/or bottlenecks. I.e. avoid pitfalls such as agile theater, agilefall and agile cultness.

It’s thus crucial to have your finger on the pulse of the modern and – pun fully intended – agile state of agile to be able to determine what an agile transformation truly entails and what tangible benefits it can bring to your business without causing too much disruption.

Leadership

Another frequently recurring theme on the podcast was the importance of the right leadership approaches for seeing success in the highly competitive yet innovative digital world.

People & culture

The above sections about agile and leadership are both closely related to people & company culture. Here, though, we wanted to focus on the close relationship between a healthy company culture and successful digital transformation.

A key takeaway here is the importance of balancing the top-down with the bottom-up approach when it comes to getting people aligned on your brand’s mission and vision.

So, a people-first company culture fostering psychological safety promotes learning and growth, making it easier for people to embrace change and for firms to adopt new innovative technologies.

Mindset shift

One final highlight from our podcast discussions that we wanted to mention was the importance of a strong mindset to be able to embrace the multitudes of change and succeed in the digital landscape. There are several key aspects here:

Conclusion

While this may be the sunset of the Agile Digital Transformation podcast, that doesn’t mean we’re going to stop providing insightful conversations with experts from various industries. We’ve got something exciting planned soon, so make sure to stay tuned!
