Turn your vibe-coded prototype into a production-ready app
You built it with Lovable, Bolt, Cursor or Replit, and it got you most of the way. We review the AI-generated code, keep what holds up, fix what doesn't and take it the rest of the way to real users.
Why vibe-coded apps stall at 80%
AI coding tools are very good at the first version: screens, flows and a demo that works. The last 20% is different. It is security, data, user accounts, hosting and all the cases nobody thought of, and each new prompt tends to fix one thing and break another.
That last stretch is ordinary software engineering, and it's what we do.
Every new prompt fixes one thing and breaks another
It works for you, but not with real users and real data
You're not sure who can see whose data
There are no tests, so nobody dares to change anything
It runs on the AI tool's hosting and you don't know how to move it
A customer or investor is waiting for a launch date
What production-ready means
Security and access
Logins, roles and permissions that hold up, secrets kept out of the front end, and a review of the code paths AI tools tend to leave open.
A data model that lasts
A database structure that survives real usage, with migrations and backups, so new features don't mean starting over.
Tests and automated checks
Automated tests and code checks on every change, so the app can keep growing without breaking what already works.
Hosting you own
Deployment to infrastructure you control, with staging and production environments and monitoring.
Multi-tenancy and single sign-on
Separate customers on one platform and company logins such as Microsoft Azure, which business customers ask for first.
Code a developer can maintain
Readable structure and documentation, so you are not tied to one prompt history or one person.
How we take it from prototype to production
Review the code
We read what the AI tools produced and tell you plainly what to keep, refactor or rebuild.
Agree what launch needs
Together we split features into must-have for launch and later, so the date holds.
Fix the foundations first
Security, data and user accounts come before new features, with the biggest risk tackled first.
Launch, then keep shipping
After launch we keep improving the app in regular releases, based on how real users use it.
Keep, refactor or rebuild?
Not every prototype needs a rewrite. After the code review we recommend one of three paths:
| Path | When it fits |
|---|---|
| Keep and harden | The structure is sound. We add security, tests and proper hosting around it. |
| Refactor | The screens and flows are right, but the code underneath is tangled. We rebuild it part by part while the app keeps running. |
| Rebuild | The prototype proved the idea, but the code can't carry real users. We use it as the specification and build the production version. |
PlayForward: from an AI-built proof of concept to a live platform in 3 months
Xylos had built a working proof of concept for PlayForward with the help of AI, and had already sold it to a customer with a fixed launch date.
We turned it into a multi-tenant platform with Microsoft Azure sign-in and multilingual content. Development started at the end of January 2026 and the MVP was finished in late April.
I love working with partners who think beyond code and genuinely contribute to the success of our product. Agiledrop has consistently done exactly that. Their team combines technical expertise with strong collaboration, responsiveness, and a clear focus on delivering value. They have become a trusted extension of our team and have played an essential role in the launch of PlayForward. And they're fun too!
Frequently asked questions
Can you work with code from Lovable, Bolt, Cursor or Replit?Yes. AI-generated code is still code. We read it, keep what holds up and rewrite what doesn't.
Do we have to throw the prototype away?Usually not. Many prototypes can be hardened or refactored. If a rebuild is the better choice, the prototype becomes the specification, so the work you put in still counts.
How long does it take?It depends on the size of the app and what launch needs. PlayForward went from proof of concept to a finished MVP in about 3 months.
Will we own the code?Yes. The code and the application are yours, hosted on infrastructure you control.
Can we keep using AI tools after you take over?Yes. Our developers use AI tools too. The difference is that an experienced developer reviews the code before it reaches production.
Which technologies do you use?Mostly React, Next.js, Laravel and Node.js, which covers most of what AI tools generate. If your prototype uses something else, ask us.
Send us your prototype
Share a link to the app or the repository and tell us what it has to do at launch. We'll come back with what we would keep, what we would change and how long it would take.
